Guys ,If you read my other post...I needed a Fan Motor for My A/C.....BeBopper [Al] Had a Fan Motor..[THANKS Al!!!!]..It was a reverse Rotation Motor...Easy enough, just changed the Plug around,Had to put my Fan Blade on.Its all back together...EXCEPT the Wiring.
I need someone to Hook it up,guide me thru it or something!!!! I'm Sweatin' Bullets!!! Problem is......Old Fan Motor had 3 wires ...Blue...Black and Brown.
Replacement Motor has 5 Wires...Red...White...Black.....One plain Brown....One Brown with a White Stripe....2 Brown ones are going to a Capacitor.

Skip,I'm in Brooklyn Park......I got it going with the Help of another T.F.er and my Neighbor got Home and checked the Amp draw and Voltage...gave it a clean Bill of Health.Just have to take it apart one more time .....Must have bent a Fan Blade getting the Fan off the Old Motor and have a vibration. It Vibrated a bit before,I'm sure thats what took out the Bearing on the Fan side of the Motor. It took 25 plus yrs. to do it though!!
THANKS for the Help Guys! Can't beat the Tidalfish Brethern to help each other out!!!
Al [BeBopper] You saved the day for me!!!Check will be in the Mail!!! Only difference was my Motor was a 1/4 H.P and had High speed-only yours 1/10 H.P. and had Low and High speeds....Hence the Extra and different color wiring.
Glad to be of help.
Great to hear it is working.
There might be some pissing matches now / then on TF but when a fellow TFer is in need of help - every one who can - gladly lends a hand.

I would be concerned that the motor is overloaded and and may go out on thermal overload since the original motor was 1/4 hp and the replacement is 1/10hp. It may take a while before going out on thermal overload and will then start back up after cooling but in the meantime the compressor may be stressed while the fan motor is cooling down to restart. Just me 2cents.

Yea,I am worried about that also!Neighbor came over when He got Home and checked the Current draw.He said it seemed o.k.I don't know myself. He used to Work on Air Compressors,Fridge unit and such.I did see the Motor drawing 9 amps and .4 thru the Cap.What do you think? Thanks!! It is 208/240 volts. And have 232 Volts coming in.[Mike]
The motor I replaced that motor with was a 1/4 hp. For the short period it was used (less then 2 months) it had no issues with over heating anything. It worked fine.
Mike, you need to be hunting down the correct size motor. The "new" motor is not rated for the fan it's trying to spin, think of 50hp engine on your boat and you get the idea. If you're lucky you'll get a premature failure and the overload circuit will prevent a fire. On motor sizing there's usually a 10-20% margin in sizing (increase, not decrease), 50% decrease is way too much.
