Default Striperjoe - under the KNIFE !

that's right I'm going in the hospital tomorrow(outpatient intended) to have a bad right shoulder repaired. the bone chips(not sure where they came from) are rubbing against the rotator cuff which may be torn and they will not know until they "look at it".
I don't expect cards and gifts for such a "minor" operation but in case you prefer checks my office address is , well just call and I'll pick them up after i "get well". Not sure also of the recovery time also, but tried to plan the operation in between tourneys, which didn't seem to matter, since Dayton had to catch a fish and ruin my day. I'm so HAPPY for him.............
they say the damage is being caused from "repetitive motion" which some of you may know about ! Mine came from reeling in lines "without" fish on them. Catching a fish - no problem, reeling in 8 lines with no fish - Painful. Striperjoe "layin' low"........

Good luck Joe. If you don't make it, can Cannonball fish the next tournament with me? And I will be there for Mrs. Cannon for sure.

Under the knife? I was worried you mouthed off the wrong person this time.

    All the best ol' Man.

i just peeped at the damage for the 1st time and I swear they look like stainless steel owner hooks (just bent funny) on my right shoulder. My wife says they are staples, all I know is there are 3 holes. 2 holes with just 1 staple and the 3rd hole is like long ! Maybe 6 or more staples. Pain pills are awesome, and cheaper than any local high school !Doc says he removed several large bone spurs/chips with apparently no damage to rotator cuff. Going back to the doc tomorrow am for 1st follow-up so I'll know more tomrrow. thanks for asking Ranger - seems since I've kind of been "out of it" you and my wife are now on 1st name basis. Hmmmm. go figure ! The only thing that hurts more than reeling is typing so gotta go. See you guys on the water soon and keep feeding the cats for me ! striperjoe[smile][grin][wink][tongue][sad][shy][angel][excited]
