Default Spade fish in Delaware Bay

Fished out of Slaughter Beach Saturday with my wife, daughter and her girlfriend. Lots of fish; flounder, croakers, bluefish, seabass and misc. junk fish. I spend most of my time putting bait on and unhooking fish, which with this crew is more fun then catching. While adjusting a drift my daughter and her girlfriend saw a large school of what they discribed as big, round fish, just under the surface. I didn't see them. Later they saw another school and although I didn't see these either, they clearly discribed large spadefish, including the stripes. Has anyone else had any run in's with spadefish in Delaware Bay. I've fished there 40 years and never saw them before. It seems like some of the warmer water spieces like cobia and spadefish are moving into Delaware Bay.

I shoot spades every year out there. The ones in the DeBay always seem bigger than other surrounding waters. Never shot one below 5# around here.
