I think everyone is saltwater fishing while the bite is on. I haven't heard much from the river. Good luck when you go. A guy at work did catch a 35 on Saturday in the Chick, so at least some will bite.
I don't know the state of the spawn.

Finally time for me to get back on the water to try to hook up. Has anybody been catching anything? Is the spawn over? Any info would be appreciated I'm going out Saturday night and could use the expert opinion of some of you pros.

Thanks for the info. No better way to know than to go fish. I will first need to kill the bees that have made their home in my boat. It's been 8 weeks since I was last out. I don't know how I have survived.
While striper fishing last sat. we hooked at least 6 or seven cats. BUT all were under 20lbs. Possibly because of the spawn.
So, you may hook up with some fish, but not too big. But as mentioned already, you dont know unless you try it out.
Good luck -Jake
I heard today the flatheads are "going nuts" up around Scottsville. Fish in the 15-30 range eating goldfish.
See BigCat, I told you we should've gone today!!
I think the SKATE bite is on!hahaha[grin]
Nice Carp! I don't care who you are, that is funny right there!
Not time to fish. At least not for me. If it wasn't for a few small fish we would have produced the skunk. Water is still really cool for this time of year. I think I'll give it a couple more weeks.
It should be great for our 38 pound Target Tournament next Saturday evening/night. 5 small fish is all I need. This should be a fun one and perfect timing for the end of the spawn. And some of the big fish should be getting hungry. It just might turn out great.
