Crabbing effort Today September 10, 2011 "Good"

Crabbed off the dock today with my Grandson Lucas and we caught 26 on the outgoing and 16 on the incoming tide Total 42+ Give or take and the crabbing was Good they are still here, not as many but they are still here considering all the rain and the murky waters it looks like swamp water dark rusty brown. The crabs we caught were real nice dark and heavy. We used 10 hand lines, Bait used chicken legs and some necks. crabs ranged from 5-1/4" to 7". We kept Nothing less than 5.50 we threw back several large Paper shells and at least half dozen big females-Thrown back of coarse and Caught two keepers at one time. I think we are gonna be OK It's only going to get better.

JIm, I went down to the community pier and caught 25 good crabs. Many small too but I culled for a good 25. Most were dark and 6" plus.

Came home by 830pm and worked all day. Then, when leaving to collection center (dump site) I see YOU! I said, that was JIM! Recognized your ugly face from your posts. I stay on the back side of my pics. I would have said high but didnt want to hold things up.

Nice crabs too!
