    Default Reds

This is a little late report but from the activity level on this board, it doesn't seem to matter.

I had a great experience (finally) chartering a boat in Hilton Head September 8. I have had some really bad trips with some of the charter boats and headboats. I truly would like to mention one in particular but I will restrain myself posting it on this open forum.

My brother in law and I went out for a half day charter with Captain Kent Bird with Mega-Bite charters (843-298-0448). He worked his tail off in trying to put us on some big reds and had some success with catch and released sized fish up to 30 lbs. We also fished the creeks for slot keepers and were surprised by a few bruisers as well. Despite Kent's previous injury, it did not hamper his efforts in catching bait and doing all the usual tasks including the fish cleaning. Kent even stayed out longer because we were catching and releasing. I just wanted to give due credit and will be sailing with him again, and no, I'm not getting any benefit by posting this.
