nice fish!
Ok... I *really* need to remember to post my reports here...
Fished Watts Creek today with my john boat. Tried mainly for bass but fishing was real slow. Water was dirty with floating debris, mostly tons of small leaves and twigs. First dug far upriver while the tide was high and fished downriver back to the boat ramp, which is right where it connects to the Denton section of the Choptank River. No bass caught but did have a couple hook ups with a plastic worm. Small pickeral tackled it too while reeling it in and lost that one as well. Only fish I landed was a nice 11" yellow perch and a small bullhead catfish. Friend of mine, Otis, caught one bullhead that was a little bit larger but still quite small.
We got back, had a steak dinner, then went out to the farm pond to desperately get a bass in our hands. Otis ended up slamming them, catching 10 while I only caught 2. We had some bonus panfish too such as white crappie and bluegill. For 40 minutes of fishing, it was pretty active. Cold outside but water still retained heat.
It's always good to end a bad day on a high note. Even though I was humbled!

Watts can be some great bass fishing at times. Shoot me a pm I can give some tips if interested. I used to fish there a lot.
Caught lots of nice fish in Watts creek, fishing jigs most of the time. Most of the fish are very shallow, not on the tips of the trees. This is a good time to catch big bass down there. Good post and good luck.
