Default Mixed Bag Fun Catch 000's

Had a great day offshore today. Left OC at 6:15 and headed to triple 0's where there was a tuna and marlin bite Thursday. Lines in at 50 fathoms and worked out to a small fleet at 70. Boats were working some nice weed patches and a few charters were backed up to a floating pallet loaded with dolphin. We just trolled by and caught a few gaffers. Turned around, next pass a yft in the box. Caught ten mahi with a few nice one's and decided to hunt for tuna elsewhere. Worked our way south and had a wire wahoo bait on the shotgun. Wahoey! Got one in the box again. A little later had a double of whites, caught one missed one. All in all a great last day of September. Just hope to get out a few more times before it is done.

    10 Gaffers
    1 yft
    1 50 lb wahoo
    1 for 2 Whitey

Thanks Jim for stopping by to play photographer. How was your trip around? Was thinking Delaware Bay may have been a little sporty with the NW wind?

No prblem with the pics Jim...OMG!!! I have made the trip lots of times but I have never seen the mouth of the Delaware bay so violent!!! There was about 2 mile area where the waves were 6-8 and very very close together from every direction and caps off all of them..I have been in some high seas in my time but nothing like this..I was very worried to say the least..Had bow all the way down and we took a beating,,I have heard tales about that earea but now I know what they were talking about....
