I was there last fall with a friend.

Our biggest bass was a whopper, weighing in at 4 pounds 6 ounces. He caught it on a green Senko style worm I think. It was caught about 100 yards from the ramp, on the same side as the ramp.

The rest of the fish weren't so spectacular.

Years ago the Crappie fishing was terrific there, but it seems to have slowed up in recent years. A small Rebel crawldad was always a good choice there, usually in just the basic brown color.

Let us know how you do.

I use to live there. The best bait for crappies and blue gills was grass shrimp on a very small jig under very light bobber around trees in water. BUT, that was about 11 years ago.

Been wanting to go to Wye Mills myself. Didn't realize it had good Crappie fishery there. I usually fished Tuckahoe and Smithville for that.
