Read in paper - Dr. Donald Zantop -59 , died while diving off Bald Head island , NC on Oct. 13th ( of all days ).
He was from Fallston , Md.
Reported he was airlifted but did not survive.
Not much details - story says he was a tech diver with about 800 logged dives.
Sh*t like this reminds us although fun - diving still is dangerous.
Here's to you my fellow diver - RIP.

What could be more mundane than dying of old age or of natural causes when there is death by misadventure to be pursued ? Skip
Skip,
I read a first hand account on another forum from the man's friend who brought him up. He evidently had some type of medical issue at depth. Very sad and just a reminder that what we love to do can be very dangerous, but I for one would not have it any other way!
