I think I can still see the blood stains!
Craig Blackwell said he glassed in new spray rails all around and got the boat primed. Will be painting soon. New tower and hardtops being measured and sketched out. Will have recessed running lights and cockpit lights in the helm hard top. Will have a hard top over the tower with recessed teaser reels. The boat will be ice blue with white on top. Craig said it will look like the day it was made. We will see.

Oh Man, she is going to be a fine machine when she is done... I got another set of pics shortly after posting this so here they are... I called Bill to tell him you had sent them and he was like a kid in a candy store... He was excited to see them... To be honest I haven't seen them yet, I don't open them to save them I just post them here... Hope they are good ones!!!
Okay, I cheated and previewed the post before sending... SHE IS ONE PROUD LOOKING BOAT!!!Look at how stout she looks... I could not be more happy for you Jason... And for Fancy... WOW!!! This is exciting... Can't wait for the next set... Makes me want to drive to Wanchese and run my hand down her side...

Awesome!!! I can see that they are gonna do the whole nine yards. That takes some serious nads to strip a boat down that far. It's kinda like those car restoration shows. They re-use what makes sense & then make new what they have too. In the end it all comes back together better than before but takes skill & vision to see it through. I guess in a way that's what we do in the landscape business when we first start a job. People sometimes get a bit nervous when the entire area is tore up during construction & grading. I will also admit that the jobs we take on now regularly would of scared the hell out of me 10 years ago. Now those same jobs don't even raise an eye brow.
Looking good Jason! Congrats on everything. I wanted to get down this weekend & had planned to get over there myself but with this crap weather, I decided to stay here & get further along with work so once it finally does clear up, I will be able to stay down for a stretch. I am dieing to get back out fishing.
BTW. What did you decide on the keel ? Looks like it is still full length in the pics so far. I have a buddy who has a charter boat in VB up on blocks as we speak. That is what he just finished doing. Took his keel down to about an inch or two form original of about 12". Lots of guys are going that way now that boats run so much faster than they once did.
I just got back last night and I'm already planning the next adventure.![]()
Only the truly ate up understand the maddness.
Bill.
Jeez. That ole girl has been stripped naked. I like me some naked lady's, but I can't wait to see this one when she's dressed up!!
Hey Bill ! Good to hear from you. Craig and I have not discussed the keel yet, but I'm all for cutting it back some like you all discussed. If it would increase speed some and still be stable I'm all for it. You see Craig did spray rails all around. It has been one month and I don't see it getting done in 8 weeks. I'm thinking mid Dec., but thats ok as long as it is done right. Craig has been a pleasure to work with by the way. Great guy.
