Had a chance to fish the Salado Creek this afternoon with Robert aka the "Dfanman". We met at one of our spots on the Salado and started fishing at 11:30 A.M. I finished at 4:00 P.M. but Robert said he was on some nice Rios and was going to stay another hour. I would still be there with him If I did not have to work tonight. The Rios are still biting. We caught approx. 20 nice Rios in the 7 to 9 inch range. Also several Green Sunfish along with some Blue Gills in the 5 to 8 inch range were caught. Rounding out the catch were 10 Longear in the 5 to 6 inch range, 3 Redbreast in the 7 to 8 inch range, and two bass both about 12 inches each. All fish were caught with both live worms and Berkley Trout Worms both in the orange and natural colors. Both bottom and float techniques were used. We also used our Can Poles and caught several nice Rios on em. Fish were caught in 2 to 4 feet of water with most laid up next to brush piles. The water was clear with slow current. All fish were released to fight again.

What could be more mundane than dying of old age or of natural causes when there is death by misadventure to be pursued ? Skip
