Va. muzzleloader and rut report
Hunted with new boss and old hunting buddy today for Va. opener. 3 deer taken, button buck, 5 point, and a big doe. No sign of rut here in usual haunts. Coupla rubs, no scrapes, both bucks not smelly or with swollen necks. Rut should still be on soon, hopefully still on during the general gun season.

3 days afield in Loudoun Co so far- not really much rut sign either. My host did take a 7 pt & man did he stink!
