After trying to do to much yesterday morning before work and realizing I was gonna be late, and how pretty it was, I said the heck with it and took a day off and went fishing. Got a late start, launched at 9am after getting everything together. It was me and Baylee, (5 month old lab). Went to the 3rd island and caught rock. I was throwing flukes and lucky craft pointers 68 style. The lucky crafts were the heat. Its a suspending crankbait that dives 6-8 feet. I caught one under at 26 and the other 9 fish were all in the slot. Biggest was 31.5. I had a lot of fun with my 2500 stradics and 200 curados, light tackle is the way to go! Back at the ramp at 2:15. Ocean side of third right in the middle give or take 50 yards. The rock are back!

Glad you got out and got some pullage. The reports are looking better and better on the rockfish.
