Off the beach of Myrtle Beach has been pretty choppy over the last few weeks. The inshore fishing has been great, fishing the calm waters of the backwater has been the way to go. We have been catching Black Drum, Trout, Redfish, and Flounder.

There has been a Awesome bite going on the Black Drum on live shrimp and cut shrimp. The Trout bite has been hot on live shrimp and Gulp baits. Same goes for the Redfish too. The flounder are hitting better on Gulp Shrimp on 1/4oz jig heads. We are catching about 30 to 40 trout a day with 6 to 8 being keeper size in the 18 to 20” ranges. Most are around 12 to 14”. These are fun fish to catch. The Redfish are schooling up in the backwater in shallow dark mud creeks. Flounder bite seem to be the best around docks, piling, and deep holes.

I always make sure you catch fish and have fun. If you book a Myrtle Beach Deep Sea trip with me and we get blown out, we can always fish inshore waters of Myrtle Beach where it is calm. Now is the time to book your fall and winter North Myrtle Beach Fishing Charter. If I can help you and your family/friends with a North Myrtle Beach fishing charter or Holden Beach fishing charter give Captain Keith Logan a call at 843-907-0064.

Good Luck and Tight Lines,
