Two years ago my brother came from Florida in December to striper fish. He had not caught a striper in something like 40 years at the time. We caught something like 15 in two days during his visit and were so cold those days, the brass monkeys were singing soprano.

He just left after two days here. Much nicer weather and the fishing was great. We even had a keeper along with several whites that will make an addition to Thanksgiving dinner at mom's. In two days we had close to 30 stripers, 5 whites, uncounted cats and today casting from the bow as we trolled shad, I would have been culling 14" largemouths and brought in a limit of ~13 lbs. using my new favorite crankbait which also accounted for about 1/3 of the stripers.
