Default Fishing the Cut Channel Area Again Friday and Saturday

Sliding down from Solomons again Friday. Since we are not smart enough to troll, we hope to see a significant bird show and jig some up. Last week's trip we had mixed results. Never saw birds over many big fish in the deeper water, only lots of birds is shallow water over smaller fish--some legal. Last Fri we only had five legal fish and Saturday did a better with about 50. Hopefully the cooler temps and less wind will produce a good bite. Staying at Engram's Marina again. Capt Billy and Mary are super hosts.

    50 fish sounds pretty good.
What type of jig were you jigging?

Heavy metal--6 ounce chartreuse powder coated. Also casting six inch chartruese shad on 2 and 3 ounce heads. As I said I know nothing about trolling, so have to settle for what we get light tackle jigging. Sometimes it works out pretty well.

    Thanks.
If I could, it is more fun to catch on light tackle than troll.

They changed the forecast for Sat. Friday still looks great but it could be large out there on Sat. We are still coming but the ride back on Sat could be slow, bumpy and wet.
