Marinas

I was thinking of trying another trip for some big fish, this Sun., I was planing on going out of Ingram Bay again, but am unsure at this point on the weather conditions out on the bay. I would like to have a back up plan in case the wave action is not in my favor. I would prefer somewhere in the Rap. maybe around Urbanna or Whitestone bridge area. I would put in on the Rap and troll towards the bay. Any suggestions for a good marina on the river? Thanks in advance

If you come from Md. I'd recommend Yankee Point Marina on the Corrotoman River. They have a good Ramp (My boat is a 23' Sailfish) for at least boats to probably 28'. Real good folks run it and they have Gas/Deisel/maintenance/snackbar/restaurant. No fishcleanin station though. Immediate access to the Rapp and you come out about 2nm N of Rte 3 (Whitestone) Bridge. If you elect to go here give me a call and I'll give you good directions. Probably different than the GPS but better if you're towing a Boat. If you're coming from Richmond, the other side of the Rapp would be better. Dan 540 226-5180

Thanks for the advice on marinas, I never did get a chance to get out though. Judging by the reports it appears I did not miss much.
