    Default Private Lake.....Gainsville


    A friend sent me this pic of the LM he caught Sunday, 8.5lbs !! Fish was caught in 5' of water, 44 deg water temp using a crankbait. Water was alittle muddy except for this one area. Fish hit it as soon as it hit the water. Talk about luck !! He thought he was snaged at first. Fish didn't move for a few seconds. Merry Christmas , that's all I can say !!

    Really? 8.5lbs? Based from experience, that actually looks heavier than that. I caught an 8lber from a private pond and it didn't have a big ol' gut like that.

    My biggest bass ran 8.5 lbs. Probably that length but not quite as fat. I would put that fish at 10lbs +

    The bass was actually caught at Germantown Lake on Dec 11th. Great fish for my December bass. Working on catching my January fish....hopefully tomorrow. Tight lines.
