Liberty Res stripers from shore?

Is fishing for them still good in Liberty? I tried it once several years ago, right around this time. We fished from shore and caught several nice ones on chicken livers. Does that still work?

I used to fish the reservoirs about 8 years ago or so, then I moved to the bay, now I have a boat for each. Back when I fished Liberty chicken livers worked well, I used to catch Rockfish, Rainbow trout and Carb, it will be interesting to see how the reservoirs have changed in that amount of time.
