Post DNR wants input on black bass tournament registrations

This was posted in the 'Conservation & Policy' board but it was suggested I post in more frequented forums on the site. It's good information for anyone that fishes for bass in the state.

Hi everyone. As some of you already know, I’m a biologist for MD DNR working with Inland Fisheries. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that MDDNR is considering a regulation that requires directors to register black bass tournaments. The public comment period is open from now until Wednesday, March 30, 2012. To view a summary and to comment, visit http://www.dnr.state.md.us/fisheries...ss-Tournaments. Comment at mddnrfish@dnr.state.md.us. If you have any concerns, comments, or criticisms, MDDNR wants to know. Your input is appreciated.

Black bass or black bass (LGMouth)...

I am sure if you posted on the MD BASS Federation site it would get some play..

    Capt Mike,

The regulation would affect tournaments for black bass (largemouth and smallmouth bass). We're getting the word out for public comments, so we're trying to let everyone know about this. Email mddnrfish@dnr.state.md.us if you have any opinions, even if it's just a 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down'.
