No Product updates available for HDS

I'm hoping that because Lowrance is no longer making the 4.0 HDS update available that something newer is on the horizon !!
I'm hoping that maybe we can get some of the features availabe in the new Gen 2 machines !
Lowrance has always been very forward looking in their products and has made some handy software upgrades availbe to existing users in the past.Here's hoping.....

Some of the features in Gen 2 like StructureMap can only be experienced in Gen 2 models because it needs the speed of the new processor to operate. I'm not sure how much more will be coming in the first generation models but I feel they haven't given up on them just yet.

that is my hope too. And like you said, I'm pretty sure that the processor in the First Gen machines would likely be way too slow.Still there might be some hope for those of us that bought a year too soon !

I don't see anything related to Gen2, but looks like they have an update for EP-60, maybe that will help me with my fuel flow accuracy, although, most of the time, I'm within about 10% anyway.

The software updates that are on the Lowrance website are for "HDS Generation 1" only. The software that is loaded onto the Gen 2 products will have their own software package and numbering system. Please don't confuse the two when an update becomes available on the Downloads page of the website.
