Personally, I do not like a line counter but I know others who do. For trolling I use the Penn 330 and its easy to estimate the amount of line out, 1 time across is rougly 10 feet.
Hi all
My wife bought me enough gift cards to go out and get a new reel and i'm trying to decide between the Penn 320GT2 and the 320GT2 with the line counter. For $10 extra it seems worth it but was wondering if anyone knows of any problems with it?
I'm new to fishing in the southern Chesapeake bay so figure it would help me getting me bait at the right depth or my trolling lures at the right distance but i've never seen anyone using one of these before.
Thanks

All I have to say is KISS.
A built in line counter a just one more thing to go wrong.

The term "good eatin size" is generally used by those that catch small fish.
Get the 330 without line counter. If you really want to count your distance use a sharpie and mark the line
