OC Togging report

Went out Sat 1/7. It was difficult day with strong full moon current and stiff breeze.
Toughest thing was getting bait! My friend from NJ was able to buy some crab bait up there so we were good.
Slow pick until 1 and then they bit good for next 2 hours. We played catch and release until bait ran out and came home with OC limit. No big fish this week. I think 5-6lb was the biggest one.
Unbelievable weather for Jan...
Water temp really dropped on inshore pieces compared to last week.
10 miles offshore was still warm as a friend caught a flounder on crab bait! It was big enough to keep but since season was closed it went back.
I think I'm done until spring but that's what I said a month ago.
Nice weather coming up next couple days. Get out if you can and enjoy incredible Jan weather.
