Default Reel Seats and Butts ??

I just got a couple of 9yr old custom trolling rods from a neighbor cleaning out his garage. Basically no real info on these things. From what I can tell, they need reel seats and butt ends?? I've never owned a custom rod and don't know how they're put together. I've looked at some sites and see different sizes and styles of things, but I'm not sure what I need. If you can suggest anything that I need to look at/for to help me get the needed parts to complete these rods I'd appreciate it.

There should be a manufactures mark/ name somewhere on the ferrule. I'm guessing an AFTCO or a Stuart butt. The ferrule OD will determine which butt you can use with it.

The term "good eatin size" is generally used by those that catch small fish.

It looks like an Aftco UB2. Its not a 4 and too large for a 1. Good luck.

    www.mudhole.com has them for you.

It MIGHT be an aftco, but with the parts provided, it can't be guaranteed. It is either an American Tackle, Batson, PacBay or Aftco. I know that doesn't narrow it down, but regardless, it is a UB2 sized ferrule.
