OC striper fishing 1/28

Sounds like the bite is on today. Beautiful conditions and me without a boat.

A bunch of boats went out the west OC ramp, plus another handfull from other places. Turned the VHF on and listened for the chatter. Sounded pretty good from I could tell. It was pretty flat in the AM and kicked up a bit later on, but it sounded like they found them by then. Bait balls, doubles, bent rods etc.

Where was this North OC? Wasn't much south.

I couldn't say for sure , but I think it was north.

Did hear some comments about the whales. Not sure where they were though.

They were there today. Got a 40" and saw others caught. Big thanks to Dan and Jim for sharing info. Whale watching a nice bonus.

Sounds like a good run on stripers right now. Keeping the boat in the water next year.
