AS far as I know the perch are in good numbers in the occoquan either..I did catch some whopper Crappie yesterday and will post as soon as I get a chance... I caught one that pretty close to 2 pounds... Kept 8 ..
I went out about 12:30 and fished until 4:30. I hit a couple of the small tributaries on the Maryland side of the Potomac near Wade's Bay and Mallows Bay. I was mainly targeting yellow perch and only had light tackle with me.
The river was a chocolate brown and I was surprised at the wind. When I checked the weather they said 5 knots but it was a bit rougher than that when I was coming back across the river.
I hit the deep holes on Aquia creek and around the RR bridge, again nothing hit and I didn't see anything on the fish finder.
May be a bit early. I think I'll try again in a couple of weeks.

were you in a cc? i saw somwone fishing the deep hole by red buoy #6 saturday. white perch are in but no reports of anyone catching them yet
