Default 50 lb Rockfish to follow up our 64 lbr from Thursday

Fished another quick afternoon trip out of Rudee today with friends Pete and Kevin Collier. Headed straight to the Cape and Kevin hooked this nice striper after about 45 minutes. It hit a red & white tomic trailer on a tandem rig and weighed in at VB Fishing Center at exactly 50 lbs. It was Kevin's first citation rock. Welcome to the 50 LB. club Kevin! We caught two more smaller fish in the next 30 minutes, both on the Tomic. back to the dock by 5 PM.
Kevin, only thing better than catching a striper like that is having your 9 year old son show up to get in the pic with you

    Go Get Em!!!

Birds were everywhere, not quite beehiving but damn close! Marked tons of bait and all three fish were caught further from the birds rather than closer. Best birds we saw were quickly scattered by a boat who thought barreling right through then would somehow produce fish on the line?
