Boated and fished from Perryville to Northeast yesterday. No difference in quality or numbers. A fellow TF member gave us a tip which put us on a better spot, which we thank him for! Even there though, the action wasn't as good as previous days at Perryville. Don't know what to say about the perch fishing this year? Hopefully the numbers of small ones will bring better future seasons.
90% of the nets we saw outside Perryville a week ago are gone. I don't think the season is closed yet for the netters, so that might be an indication that their season is poor also. If this warm weather continues, I think I'll lay off the perch and try inland waters.

Was in Perryville last saturday. Plenty of action, but some of the smallest YP i've ever caught. By that i mean we caught some that were 4" long. They were so small you couldn't even feel them hit on an ultralight with 6lb test. Locals were not having any better luck. We stuck it out for about 4 hours and managed 1 fish over 9".

Most of what we were catching was in the 6 - 7 " range.

Your welcome shellback. Im sure you would do the same for me. I think the best way to describe the NE action would be spotty.

Shellback and I went to the same place I was catching them last Saturday (Susky - under the RR bridge) and nada. I was working around a ledge at the first net buoy last week - and it was gone yesterday.

The few perch I caught had full stomachs and some large bait.

Mike had a charter this morning and they all caught their limit of legal fish. He had 3 guys on the boat. I was coming down the street from the shop and saw these guys carrying a chest. I asked them what they had in there, knowing they had just come out of my yard and were Mike's charter. They showed me a nice bunch of fish. Mike has been fishing the Northeast. There are many many small fish, but seem to be a lot more larger fish than they have been catching in the Susky. I haven't talked to Mike yet for the details.
