No matter what you call them =BAIT
Looks like a milroach to me but I've only caught them in lakes/ponds.

Banded Rudderfish
They look like the shiners we used on Toho in Fla.
When I first read "Mill Roach" I thought you were pullin my leg with that name, (like the Banded Rudder fish).
Golden Shiner sounds much better.
Now I'm wondering how prevalent they are and worth seeking for bait.
Thanks everyone.

Golden or common shinner. Like said before, Bait! Very good bait.
Ditto on ID, and ditto on bait....great live bait for any med/large predatoryy fish...LM, SM, Pike/Pickeral, stripers.....good live and cut bait for cats as well., etc....maybe next time take a gallon ziplock and through'm in the cooler for cut bait later?....or dump a decnt amount of salt in your ice/water and make flash freezer
Striper Mike, you beat me to it.
caught a few of those in Joppatowne quarry a few springs back, had no idea what they were, I thought maybe some sort of herring or something.
