Default New Sea Hunt Ultra Advice

I am almost ready to pull the trigger and purchase a new 2012 Sea Hunt 21 Ultra? Any reviews? Should I look at the Triton instead? I fish the upper and middle bay and will also trailer the boat to the beaches in the summer time. I have two daughters 6 and 9 that love to fish and tube as well.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

I have the 232 Ultra and love it. For me the bench seat in the back made it a great boat to also take the family out on. Don't think you can go wrong either way.

I have a 2009 Ultra 210. I also have two daughters and we use the boat all the time. Mostly fishing but also do rec days. It has been a great boat so far.

I was trying to make the decision you were a couple of years ago. I decided on the ultra because it was more family oriented. It has plenty of room for guests. If I was just using the boat for only fishing I would probably go with a fishing setup.

The ultra can get a little tight in the back when fishing because of the bench seat. The bench seat does make easy access to the rods in the TTop.

I also got pipe dreams to build a custom ski tow for me.

I have had one 3 years and love it. Great family boat as well as fishing all types. I can fish shallow with it as well. Wife is comfortable on it. If you got specific questions PM me.

Thanks for all the replies. After going over both boats on Saturday looks like I am going with the Ultra.

I bought an Ultra 210 in 2008. It is a nice solid boat. I mostly fish lower Potomac and Rappahannock and middle bay area. I have trailered to Hampton a couple times and been out at the CBBT also. We never used the back seat much so I removed the cushioning and mounted a board along the back that added seven rod holders which helps a lot when fishing. I also used the boat sometimes to run a crab trotline.
