i like how they mounted the controls and wheel ideal for my boat too where is boe marine located if you wouldnt mind what kind of price for that kind of set up i have straight inboard but i have cable steering and want to switch to hyd
The fine folks at BOE Marine just finished up adding a new rear steering station to my boat. As always, they were friendly, knowledgeable and did a geat job. Their prices were good too. Special thanks to Vance for all the follow up and research. They have treated me well there several times now and I will continue to do business with them.![]()
They also guaranteed that I would finally start catching fish now due to the addition of the rear station. I guess I kept missing all the knockdowns while at the helm.Watch out rockfish here I come! Crabs too!

They are located on Kent Island. First exit after the bridge. www.boemarine.com Prices vary on what controls are used and amount of labor needed for different boats. I co-ordinated through Vance -866-735-5926 ext 102.
Looks great! I dont know what I would do without my second station. Makes trolling very easy as well as jigging around structure.

Nice set up. That's exactly what I would like to do, but I'm not sure if the gunnel is wide enough. What type of boat and motor do you have?

You will be very happy with that set up. The way I do it is have a friend set the port side lines and I can set the starboard side from the aft station yet I can still keep an eye on what he is doing.

That's a pretty set up. As much as I fish solo that would be the ticket. Something to think about for next winters upgrade.
I fished alot in the fall by myself or with folks with no experience, so it was tough on windy days to set/check lines. I was only running 6 lines and it was work. I really hope the set up works with crabbing as well, I may be able to sell my 18 footer then. The pilot house may make crabbing hard in the wind. I can run my 18 footer in almost any conditions crabbing. Overall it looks great and I can't wait to try it out. Just hope we don't get that long cold spring Lilly keeps hinting about, I want to catch some fish!
My next project is getting one of those HDS fishfinders. Getting a quote from BOE now on a leftover GEN1, but the prices really haven't come down yet, even with the GEN2s out now. May have to wait a bit.
