Default Best line for use with a puller ?

Really board with the lack of snow .. what do you guys find is the best line to use with a winder ? I have several # 5 lines but they seem to get tangled a fair bit. From what I have been reading alot of guys use soft or even med. lay lines. This wil be the first year using a winder . Thank God gettin to old to hand pull lines. Have some time on my hands with this mild winter so if need be I can make up a few new lines.

Test your winder before making any new lines. Some winders have difficulty handling small diameter lines due to the way they are set up. My winder can pull lines as small as 5/32" with absolutely no difficulty. If your winder is set up properly it should be able to process #5 Loktite or its equivalent easily. Larger diameter lines offer greater surface area for the sheeves to contact, thus some pullers have less problems even if they are not tuned the best that they can be.
