CBBT Beckons...

Just wanted to let the SRRKC-ers know that Walleye Pete is still having a ball with big fish at the CBBT (all catch and release). He's opened up walk-on trips next week. I'm booked to go down on Friday, the 17th. If any other SRRKCers can make it that day let me know and we can rendezvous.

This is a year like none other, and I highly recommend taking advantage of it while it lasts. Great opportunity to get a nice "Fisherman of the Month" entry, as well.

I had a great day with Pete on 1/31 (not as awesome as your big day, however). Even an inexperienced LTJ guy like me managed to catch about 20 stripers from 20" to 25". The more experienced guys did even better that day.

I am fishing again with him on Monday. For those of you who have not tried it because the cost of a full charter is too high, Pete is doing walk-on trips for the next week where the cost is $125 per person. You can sign up as a single angler and fish with other walk-on guys.

I have spent a lot more on charters over the years with quite a bit less to show for the day.
