I can see that arguement, the being safe in the woods if bearhounds are running all over the place is way over exagerated.

Your really funny.....you tell everybody that Sunday is a day of rest for the game of Virginia and then you fight to run dogs after bears on Sunday.......the VaHDA ain't fooling anybody......all you guys did was make a lot more enemies.......everyone can see what a bunch of hypocrites all of you are........Sunday Hunting will be coming soon and dog hunting will slowly fade away.......

Wrong answer pal,we wont stop fighting for our rights.I will die before I am told by you or anyone else I cant hunt with hounds and you can take that to the bank. Now if you wanna make this personnel you are more than welcome to p.m.Keep whining and the name calling because you cant do something that you have never been able to do.Pretty easy to do behind the keyboard.Rabbit, coon, cat, fox, bear, deer, houndsmen outnumber you antis by a rediculous number and put a hell of a lot more money in the economy than all still hunters or non hound hunters combined in Va so let me know how that works out for you.Deer hunting with hounds might come under the microscope again but we will fight like we always have instead of whining and name calling. You or anyone else will never break the will of a true houndsmen,it is our heritage, way of life and in our blood.

WOW JD.....calm down.....you sound a little tense......I wouldn't want to see you die just because dog hunting will go away someday....you can learn how to hunt without them........and i really don't know what your talking about making it personal....????...and no I don't want to PM you......I'll say what I have to say to you or anyone else out in the open so everyone can see what I have to say........and if by name calling your referring to the word hypocrit......it means "saying one thing and doing another".......like not wanting Sunday hunting because it's a day of rest and the running dogs after bear on Sundays.......and the next time deer hunting with dogs comes under a microscope......I won't be on your side this time like I was last time.....this time I'll vote to BAN IT.....and I'm sure a lot of hunters feel the same way now.......and running dogs might be in your blood but some day your just gonna have to use them to chase other game......because using them on deer will slowly fade away......You have a good day now........

    Default Hahahahahahahahaha

The vast majority of hound hunters didn't call their senators on the SH issue. Most hunters don't want SH. It got shot down, and really wasn't fought that hard against by the hound hunters. The hound hunters have openly expressed how they feel, but all of them didn't call their senators. Don't make this a hound vs. still hunter issue. As fired up as JD got, that's all ALL houndsmen will act if you keep poking at them. There are WAY more people that deer hunt with hounds than those that still hunt. The still hunters may be the majority on this board, but they're not the majority within this state, VA, the one with the American Foxhound as it's state dog, aka the "walker" hound. The walker is what relentlessly runs a deer to the gun barrel. The one that the still hunter, aka "pothunter", sits and secretly crosses his fingers, and hopes, will run him a deer.

And how do you know this? Your opinion? Most hunters I know, including dog hunters, do want Sunday hunting.

I know this from asking the guys that I hunt with in Chesapeake, the guys I hunt with in Northumberland, the guys that I hunt with in Cumberland, the guys tht I hunt with in Buckingham, the guys that hunt with in Southampton, and the guys that I occasionally hunt with in Va Beach, Suffolk, Surry, and wherever the hell else that i get invited to put on the hoof and enjoy a good day of hunting. I also hunt in Gates Co., with a pile of Virginia boys. Yes, the majority of the guys, remember a majority is 51% or >, are opposed to SH as a whole. A lot of those guys though, are pro archery on Sunday, myself included.

So to answer your question, I know this from my opinion, as well from everybody tht i have asked. Am I an expert? No, but I am a BAMF when it comes to hound hunting!

Now, a MAJORITY of hunters I know, did not call their senators to fight the issue of SH. We don't feel that strongly about it to stand up and fight it. We just feel the way we do, and what happens, happens. Quit whining, quit blaming the VAHDA, and lobby up and do what you feel is right! Like I stated, DON'T MAKE THIS A HOUND HUNTER VS. STILL HUNTER ISSUE!

it is a hound vs. still issue and in the upcoming years the still hunters will remember this and will contribute to the demise of hound hunting (which will become illegal in Virginia in the future, their is no question about that)

Wrong. You seem to know as much about this as you do about deer dropping their horns. Therefore, I have come to the conclusion that you don't know shit.

    Here's one for you all,
IF MOST HUNTERS WANTED SH, IT WOULD HAVE PASSED! Until it does, NA NA NA BOO BOO!

There you go GMC, that's how you act like a douchbag! Quit trying so hard!
