That true world looked nice but if I go with a cc I would definitely like 2 engines unless it were a inboard.

Wait to you see the gas prices this summer and you may rethink the twin engine idea. I will take a reliable single 4 stroke any day of the week if 95% of the fishing is all done inside the bay.

i agree with the fuel efficiency comments. and a thumbs down to the markley. i fish offshore with a single, but only about 10 times a summer. all boats have + and -'s. list out what is really important and go from there. you are lucky, there are alot of nice boats on the market for you to choose from. dont be in a rush, and get complete workups on all the important stuff- engine is #1. if its a 225 or 250 yamaha, check for any exhaust corrosion. also, if i had a choice of a boat that has been trailered for 2k more over one that has been in the water, id go with the trailered one every time.

having said that, trailering a big boat ( a 26 reg is a big boat to trailer) has its problems too. towing a big boat costs $$$$, as does the $$ too keep it in tiptop shape. my maycraft is on a trailer, but i try to tow it as little as possible. it spends spring and fall on the chesapeake, then summer and winter at the beach.

    good luck to you.

I have '91 26' Regulator powered with a 7.4L Volvo (454)... and love the ride, hate the fuel dock. And, she's for sale at an agressive price.

Two friends have the True World, and I have to say, it's a fantastic/economic boat. VERY fishable, VERY comfortable with great range.

How about a 30ft rampage with 2 yamar diesels in it? Its a 2000 model and looks to be kept up pretty good. Also looking at a 42 Chesapeake dead rise with a 520hp cummins cruises around 23kts.I checked out a 28ft rampage today but it was a little older and needed a little TLC and the cruising speed seemed pretty slow at 22kts . Has anyone ever have any experience on or around a rampage boat? I still haven't found anything yet to top the regulator iam just looking around trying to keep some options open.
