while I agree that NOAA has no business buying a $300000 boat (looks like a Whaler) other than a reasearch vessel, Brown throws some pretty wild pitches--the boat was funded by "fines from fishermen who accidentally caught the wrong fish." Don't call me stupid. That's where politics impede the ability to fix problems but retain valuable resources.

As much as I was glad to see Brown elected to break the Kennedy stranglehold on Mass politics; he is way behind the curve on this issue. The waterfront corruption in Gloucester, the tainted judge, the unjust fines , , the inaction by NOAA (fully awared of the problems there) the slush fund that was indescriminately used to entertain officals and purchase the pleaure boat have been in the news for over a year now...maybe even two years. What a crummy and pooly informed US Senator....if they (our Senators) are all in that kind of turpor....we need some heads to roll and get some ordinary folks to Washington. ONe third of the Senators are up for relection or replacement this Nov, 2012 ~~~
