Default Has anyone consider Progressive Insurance for your boat?

Looks like Progressive can whip Geico on coverage for the 3 trucks by nearly $400 every 6 months which is huge with slightly better coverage. They also quoted boat insurance with an agreed value policy and was only about $20 cheaper than BoatUS.

I have trailer protection coverage with BoatUS also and Progressive includes it also.

Has anyone had any experience with them?

I checked with them about my auto insurance---they were higher than anyone else! If you belong to a credit union, check with them about auto, home and boat insurance. Langley Federal beat all comers for me!

They insure my boat! And yes, it's an agreed replacement value policy.

I've been writing insurance coverage for over 25 years and Progressive has not only one of THE best policies out there but their claim service is certainly unsurpassed by far.

My last move to FL forced me to switch from one agency to Progressive for the Hurricane protection as most companies refused to write policies after mother nature's wrath, including the one I had previously.

Talk about sticker shock, but had to have insurance. No complaints though, but here again didn't have any claims.

Have had there coverage for 8 years. Had a Volvo Penta out drive expode and they covered it only cost me the deductable. Have replacement coverage on my 2007 but you have to adjust it down every year to lower your premium every year and they don't remind you.

I have it on my old Trophy. Never had a claim so I don't have an opinion.

Progressive Insurance will do everything possible to deny your claim. Be vary wary.

I had, past tense, Progressive on my 24 Grady and my 12 foot Livingston for $147.00 a year. The 20hp Honda outboard was stolen from the dink and Progressive was very co operative in re imbursement but agressive in devalueing. Of the $4500 agreed split value I received $1500. Not happy with that. So here comes renewal time. I asked about removing the Grady from the policy. Price went up to $163 for just the 12 footer with out motor. Huh????????? Remove the largest liability, insure the rowable dink and increase the price $15. Again Huh????....
The woman at the other end of the phone said, "We did a rate comparison in your area....... "

I dropped them like a hot potatoe. I'm now with Geico for $110 a year on the Grady
