I have a 2007 HydraSport 2500 Center Console with 2007 ETEC 200 HOs. I purchased the boat last summer with 140 hours on the engines. I have it at an ETEC shop now doing the 300 hour service and they notified me that the props are setup to rotate what they term as "opposite of normal" and described as inward. The port is turning clockwise/right and the starboard is turning counterclockwise / left.
Does anyone have experience with a similar boat/engine setup where they can offer opinions on if i should keep the setup as inward or if i should change the setup and have the props rotate outward?
I am not worried about top speed as the boat has plenty of that. I would be interested in ride and fuel milage if there is any difference.
Thank You,
Jim
HI Jim
You see this a lot on performance boats. Spinning in creates more stern left. I do not know that it would change the fuel mileage. But it should help keep the bow down.
