Fishing report-Little Torch Key

Just getting caught up after a great trip to the Keys. Tought going back to work!

Made it down to Little Torch Key on February 9th and left on the 17th. Fished everyday. For the most part the wind cooperated. No rain, great temps.

Fished the reef with Capt Blill Welder on Friday the 10th. He kept us on fish all day! Fished light tackle and caught tons of yellowtails, several nice grouper, false albacore and a nice king. Had plenty of fish break us off after a nice fight. Fish with Bill Welder if you want a fun day!

Fished the back country two days. We caught plenty of fish jigging artificials. What a blast! HookEd up on several tarpon. Chased two over 5' into shallow water. Didn't land any. Some unfinished business to take care of another time!

Looks like you got some good fish. That's a nice gag. And is that long skinny one with big teeth a ribbonfish? Whatever it is, I haven't seen one of those. That's the nice thing about fishing down there - so much variety you never know what you're going to catch. I can't wait for April.
