    Default Restaurant Suggestions

Wife and I are getting down to islamorada for R&R and some pullage in early April.

Looking for recommendations for places that have decent food (especially seafood). We'll go anywhere from islamorada if the food is good enough.

    Thanks in advance forthe help

The restaurant at world wide sportsmen is really good (Islamorada Fish Company), we ate there several times on our last trip in March. Then they have the Zane Grey lounge on the top of WWS that is good after dinner.

best BBQ I ever ate in my life was in Marathon, we drove down from Isalmorada for the marathon seafood festival and went to porkys bayside BBQ. they use a citrus wood for smoking and there house sauce is thin and tangy like a kansas city sauce but better. The place has been around for ever and legend that Hemmingway used to hang out there during his fishing adventures.

Another good place we ate on the water just past bud and marys on the right (heading south) Hungry Tarpoon, really good you sit right on the water, and you can feed huge tarpoon that just hang out near the tables in the shallows.

I definitely second Islamorada Fish Company recommendation. My favorite restaurant. I have heard that Lazy Days is very good also. I am leaving for my trip to the keys in 4 weeks and plan to try Lazy Days this year. Definitely stop at Robbie's to feed the Tarpon and eat at the Hungry Tarpon!

When my family vacation was in Marathon, the ladies wanted to go to Islamorada for some shopping. My son and I went to WWF and spent most of the afternoon there. The girls called and said they were ready for dinner. We went to Squid Row. They had the best bouillabaisee that I have ever eaten, and I have eaten it from Maine down to Squid Row.

Been going to Islamorada for the past 10 years, and i think we've tried them all, but our favorite restaurant hands down is Lazy Days, They also have a great happy hour

Lazy Days wins. They also have a Marathon location. Try the yellowtail sandwich or the lionfish.

never eaten in islamorada, but on your way, we love hobos in largo.

the only thing that surpasses the food in the keys is the fishing.

Went last February with my wife. We ate at Lorelei 3 nites. Nothing fancy but great food, entertainment and a beautiful sunset. If you want to spend a little more there is a small restaurant something turtle, can't remember mabe green turtle. Really good food and wine. Did a jet ski tour also lot of fun. Wind blew on us so fishing not so hot. Did go on a back country trip caught 15 species only able to keep two mangrove snapper . Can't wait to go back!
