Duck hunting with ESPN photographer
I gave an invite to ESPN photographer James Overtstreet to come duck hunting with me this fall and he accepted. Very good article by Steve Wright and some great shots of the hunt. A good read if you are intersted. http://outdoorchannel.com/Hunting/Ne...k-Hunters.aspx
Really enjoyed reading the article. I enjoy waterfowl hunting in VA, and I could visualize the scenes described in the article. My wife, who trains and handles our lab, has voiced that "You should have shot at them" more than a few times as I waited for birds to get just a little closer. The warm winter did a job on our hunts as well, but at least my duck blind is only 600 yards from our house, and I can get more sleep than most other duck hunters. We were lucky to find the vacant lot where we built our retirement home as it provided easy access to fishing with waterfowl hunting as the bonus that clinched the decision to buy after looking for two years.
BTW, I noticed one of Rick's "Fishoff" gloves being used by a fishing guide last month, and when I remarked that it looked to be well used, the guide said he had been using it for probably 10 years.
