Default Anyone know the fine for breaking C&R rules?

Curious if they specified how steep the punishment for trolling more than 6 or stinger hooks were used?

Not that I am going to do it, or that I ever see a DNR boat out enforcing anything... just wonerding if the penalty they have will deter people from trying it?

They could suspend your fishing license. They did that to a few rec anglers catching and releasing in the choptank last year. There was a monitary fine too. This was for first time offenders too

Your good name and reputation ruined - IMHO , far worse then a fine of a hundred or so dollars.
What could be more mundane than dying of old age or of natural causes when there is death by misadventure to be pursued ? Skip

That's what happened to the comms who have been ticketed numerous times by the DNR. Their names and reputation have taken a beating. LOL

THEY WILL PROBABLY TAKE YOUR BOAT YOUR TRUCK AND YOUR HOUSE.But if your a commercial guy who poaches tons of illegal fish you get the wink and nod from the judge and a small fine.

No but if someone calls to report another fisherman they may act.

You hold a commercial license and you defend commercials that get caught poaching - you are not one of "us". Skip on back to your commercial watermen only board where you are a hero.

I was at St Marys lake yesterday and there was 3 DNR guys checking. I wish they were out on the bay checking. The ponds and lakes need attention too but the bay is more important.
