Fished OI on Friday 16 Mar with Rick, David, Jimmie and Joey. We cleared the inlet with the fleet before dawn in typical seas for this time of year (bumpy but very doable). We set out around the 700 line in 100fa where we worked most of the day. We ran a spread of small/med/large hoo's in hopes of a mixed bag. The fleet was split about 50/50 trolling and jigging. We trolled most of the day stopping here and there to drop the jigs down on some of the better marks. We didn't hook up on the jig but did manage 2 BFT's and 1 YFT on the troll. Blue/White islanders WWWWB were the bait of the day for us. Joey brought in our kill fish which was a nice fat 150# class BFT. The release fish that Rick worked on was a bit longer with not as much girth. I fought the YFT to the boat to add to the box. Not a lot of bites but plenty of meat to go around for our efforts.
