About as much as a swimming eagle but you didn't seem to mind that post.

Guess your not a bluegrass fan.

Nothing better then classic bluegrass. Bill Monroe, David Grisman, etc.

Shawn might be too upset to post reports....
when Shawn doesn't post reports, guys don't go jigging...
When guys don't go jigging, no BKDs get sold...
when no BKDs get sold, tackle shop owners get cranky...
when tackle shop owners get cranky, they neglect to buy bait...
when they neglect to buy bait, it makes bait suppliers cranky...
you don't want to make bait suppliers cranky.

While I'm no fan of the genre, talent is talent, and ES was not only technically gifted, he was also an innovator. His passing is a loss to all music. Who needs bunker?

I know a lot of good banjo players. Most have three things in common. 1. Inbred 2. Broke 3. Want to sound like Earl Scruggs.

I never got to play with Scruggs, but I talked to him on several occasions. A lot of people don't know that he was as good on guitar as banjo. If you listen to any of the old Flatt & Scruggs gospel recordings you'll hear him finger-picking guitar. It's as clear and tasty as it gets. Here he is playing Jimmie Brown.

I had him sign a Martin D-28 once. He's the only person I've ever asked to sign an instrument. That guitar is played by my boys now and affectionately known as "Earl."
