Post Virginia Beach Rudee Loop Rail 3/31/12

Heard they go the blues the day before so slipped by their this afternoon for couple hours. Should have been there yesterday Hooked one small one on a Stingsilver that came unbuttoned, saw one other hooked on silver spoon with same result, and no others hooked while I was there (1-3pm). One big horse croaker and few other small ones caught by the double drop squid casters.

Bay and ocean temps near 60F and things finally starting to happen for those of us stuck on shore

    My 2012 so far:

January one good rockfish trip to Cape Henry
February few specks from the Elizabeth River
March one trip full of sandsharks from the south end of Ocracoke
    April???

    Tight lines and screaming drags

    Hey Ric,

Yeah I heard same-same on the blue bite. There have been some specks caught to from what I hear and yes everything is early given the warm winter and water temps. I have no word from the Spit ~ way to quiet

    Good to hear from you

Mark I heard that there have been some croaker caught around the HRBT and I got a good reliable report that there were a couple of flounder caught a the OVP last week.
