Default What to bring with me

Hello I am comming to Orlando to visit Disney with the kids in early June. I was wondering what options I would have to wet a line? Any info would be great. Fresh or salt doesnt matter as I have more of both lures and rods then I would ever need. I will be limited to the bank though. Would like to try and catch some specks or reds but just some pullage early morning before everyone else wakes is what I am interested in.

Tampa Bay for Specks and reds in the salt. Do a Google search for fishing the bay.

The ponds all around Orlando and inside the park are loaded with bass so thats probably your best option for a quick trip.
There are a few places to wade fish for trout and flounder in Tampa off the spoil islands that lead to the big skyway bridge.
On the east coast, by Kennedy Space Center there are a lot of places to wade for and reds trout on the inside. Inside KSC there's a wildlife trail that you can drive on (if you can find the entrance) that's a fun drive and lots of little places to hop out and take a few casts. They closed access to it for a while after 911 but I think it's open again.

A 7' - 10# test spinning rod would be good. Wading booties would be good, especially if you have to go through any muck (shells and glass are a biatch) a bubbler to keep shrimp alive going from the bait store to the fishing spot. I like to use a 2 liter soda bottle with holes punched in it to keep my shrimp alive while I'm wading, just slip them into the bottle one at a time through the top. I poke a hole in the cap, slip a line through hole, knot the inside so it doesn't slip back through and tie the other end to my belt.

Thanks for the advice. I am planning on just bringing my freshwater box and staying around the resort. Most of the time I will be getting up as the sun comes up and try and catch the topwater bite. I am thinking some pop r and maybe a zara spook. Anyone know good colors for plastics? I will have old faithful tied on too, pearl white Zoom Super Fluke. Caught a few thousand on that.

Same lures you use up here but I did well on plastics. Keep a sharp eye out for gators
