Was the "easy pass " lane open my 9'6" girl has been though that lane with no proplem
I forgot to mention this in my last report but may be useful for some out there.
When I came upon the toll stop on the way down to NC, I found that they only had one lane open and it was not the wide lane I usually go through. I stopped well short and was trying to get them to open the wide lane because I wasn't sure if I could fit through the narrow one. They basically refused.
I'm not going to get into the debate over permits for wide boats and such, it has been talked into the ground on this forum in the past. If you want to bring it up again, please make your own post to do so. I will say that I had all of about 6 inches on each side as I went through. My beam is 9'6". Interestingly enough, it was the same on the way back. One lane open, and not the wide one.
If you have a wider boat than mine, you may want to consider going around and avoiding the toll.
