Croakers in the Potomac

I bought bait from the pounder net across from Piney Point yesterday and he had at least 500 lbs of big fat croakers. The net is in 10-25 ft of water. So, its time to start bottom fishing. Also I am still getting lots of jumbo perch in my crab pots. Yesterday the 5 biggest were all over 12 in, and one was 15 in weighing 1 lb 2 oz.

Thanks for the good news. I thought about hitting Piney Point for croakers last night but opted for stocked trout instead. Sounds like I should've gone with my first thought.

Thanks for the report Mike, its doughtful I will clean up on any of those fish this spring but I will pass this report onto my fishin buddies.
Boat is in dry dock with some issues that are keeping me busy and house is on the market so I need to keep that presentable as well.
Going WOT trying to get down there.
