For an eight weight? The Canyon 4 or the Rhythm 3.5?

Got the Canyon 4 on Monday. Now to break it in.

I've looked at the Rythm, but I'll swear by my BG4. I also use it alternately with 8wt or 9wt.

It can step up to the task where drag was critical for fast runners like albies, bft's, bonita, and skippies as well as for regular catches of 20+ pound stripers while I lived up in the northeast. And it will stand up to any saltwater abuse. In my opinion, it's worth the extra coin -- you won't be going back in a year or two to replace it.
